Get your feet looking fabulous!

You may be surprised to know that although Andy is fantastic at treating feet, he is really lousy at a simple pedicure. Of all the super powers he has, he is pretty lousy on the nail polish. That doesn’t mean though, he can’t give you a few tips on how to get your feet looking fabulous for Summer.

Give Yourself a Pedicure

  1. Soak your feet in warm water and epsom salts. Once you have done that, use a pumice stone or foot file and gently remove any thick dead skin on your heels and the balls of your feet. Don’t forget the sides. The key here is to be gentle.
  2. Use a gentle scrub to exfoliate your feet and then massage some hydrating lotion all over paying particular attention to your heels.
  3. Lastly, clip your toe nails with a straight edge just to the corner of each nail avoiding rounding the edges and avoiding the risk of an ingrown toe nail.

Your feet will look and feel so much better after this simple treatment but make sure to take a closer look. If you can see or feel painful ingrown or fungal nails, or have callused skin, cracked heels, athletes foot or plantar warts, you are probably best to schedule an appointment with us so we can treat your foot properly.

The team at Hills District Podiatry have seen a lot of interesting conditions that some people may find embarrassing but we know that with the right care and advice, you should only been a few weeks away from healthy, happy feet all summer long.
